The Fred W. Beazley Scholarship is awarded to students based on academic merit and residency history. First consideration is given to applicants from the Tidewater region of Virginia who have excellent academic histories and otherwise meet the criteria. However, students with excellent academic histories not from the Tidewater region of Virginia are also encouraged to apply in the event there are not enough suitable applicants from Tidewater for the award. This scholarship covers 100 percent of tuition costs, plus a book stipend of up to $300 per term.
