The Second Generation Scholarship Fund is available to outstanding undergraduate students who intend to pursue study at UMBC, have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of minorities, and meet other specified criteria. Scholarship candidates must be enrolled or have completed a course in Africana Studies and demonstrate a commitment to improving the lives of racial/ethnic minorities through community service, extracurricular activities, or other community involvement.
