The Hixson Opportunity Award is open to incoming freshmen who are Kansas residents facing major personal and financial hardships come to KU. The awards are renewable for up to four years. The program offers the opportunity to become part of a deep and engaged network of current scholars and alumni who provide insight, friendship, and opportunities to one another.
