The Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences - Merit Scholarships are open to current SMU students with a declared major in Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from SMU faculty members and a copy of their SMU transcript through the most recent completed semester or a copy of their DPR. Potential topics to cover in recommendation letters include the student's potential, goals, research skills, contributions to class discussions, interpersonal skills, leadership ability, and extracurricular activities.
