The UAB Emerging Leaders Scholarship was established in order to assist deserving UAB students who demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities and potential for involvement. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a degree seeking program and must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours at UAB prior to application. Applicants must also have proof of demonstration of leadership skills and potential for leadership success. Preference will be given to Alabama residents and graduates of Alabama high schools. Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a faculty or staff member who has witnessed the applicant's leadership qualities and potential for success, must be submitted. Selected applicants will be required to interview with the Emerging Leadership Scholarship Selection Committee. Applicants will be notified via email if selected for interviews.
