The 1789 Scholarships are funded by generous gifts from alumni, parents, and friends of Georgetown who want to help the University enroll and retain the very best students. Students offered 1789 Scholarships are also admitted into the Georgetown Scholarship Program (GSP). Candidates for these scholarships are nominated by the GU Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on their admissions applications.
