1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Mary Lou Washatka Scholarship will be awarded to students who are enrolled or will be enrolled at a four-year university, community college, or career/technical school in the United States in the Fall. They must have been in the foster care system at some point since age 13 or later. They must have also shown a commitment to their community through a minimum 100 hours of meaningful community service. If awarded, students will need to provide documentation of current or former foster youth status after being selected as a scholarship recipient. Acceptable forms of documentation include IEP, letter from ILS worker, CASA, other foster youth serving organization, or medical paperwork from age 13 or later.
