1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Myrna D. Schlegel/AWARE Scholarship was originally established in 1999 to honor Myrna Schlegel, a registered nurse. During her tenure of developing and managing 2,500 nursing and retirement beds, she recognized the overwhelming need for trained professionals in the field of gerontology. Scholarships will be awarded to nursing students who have chosen to devote their careers to work in the field of gerontology, especially in dealing with dementia. Students must be able to demonstrate a passion for gerontology, and hope to build a career in this field. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Dallas Foundation for more information.
