1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Emerging Leader Award recognizes an emerging oncology nurse leader who has made a difference in the oncology nursing profession at the local or regional level. This award is eligible for self-nominations. The candidate must be an active ONS member. In addition, the candidate should be a registered professional nurse; have a minimum of one year of oncology leadership experience; and not have previously received the Emerging Leader Award. When these criteria are met, primary consideration will be on how the nominee advances the oncology nursing profession and quality cancer care at the local/regional level; mentors, precepts, orients, coaches, or teaches nurses in the practice of oncology nursing; and demonstrates leadership at the local or regional level, which may include oncology-related leadership in the areas of community and public service, advocacy, health literacy, supportive services, and/or academic activities. A nomination narrative statement; nominee's resume or curriculum vitae; two letters of support from either the colleague, patient/caregiver, or employer/supervisor are required.
