1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Kids' Chance of Oregon Scholarship provides educational support to children of Oregon workers who have suffered a permanent total disability (PTD) or passed away due to work-related injuries or occupational diseases. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens between 16 and 25 years old, and Oregon residency is not required. FAFSA submission is required, though financial need may or may not be considered. The scholarship may be renewed annually for up to seven years. Applicants must also provide details of the accepted Oregon Workers' Compensation claim, including the name of the injured or deceased parent or guardian, the date of injury, and the claim number. OSAC automatically receives FAFSA records for eligible residents, while others must upload the first two pages of their FAFSA Submission Summary for financial need consideration. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
