1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Home Building Foundation - Gary E. Milgard High School Scholarship supports graduating seniors, including GED and home-schooled students, from high schools in Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington, or Yamhill County. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and plan to pursue a major in architecture, construction, engineering (civil, electrical, industrial, or mechanical), interior design/architecture, or landscape architecture. Eligible students may attend any U.S. Title IV-eligible, nonprofit 2- or 4-year college, with preference given to Oregon public and nonprofit institutions. Recipients must enroll at least half time and submit a FAFSA; financial need may or may not be considered. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, contingent on meeting renewal requirements. Applicants must also submit a 350-500 word essay describing a challenge, person, or unique experience that shaped their interest in home building or construction. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC.
