The Lynn G. Bellenger Engineering Technology Scholarship is available exclusively to women who are engineering technology students. Students must be pursuing either a bachelor or an associate degree in a course of study that has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Qualified applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30 percent and meet at least one of the following criteria: (A) the institution has an active ASHRAE student branch on campus ASHRAE Student Branches; (B) the program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA); (C) or an agency outside the USA that is a signatory of The Sydney Accord. Three signed letters of recommendation are required: one from an instructor or faculty advisor, one from a current or past employer, and one from another character reference (other than a family member). In the case of institutions with an ASHRAE student branch, a letter from the faculty advisor of that branch may be one of the letters of recommendation. Re-applications are accepted from former scholarship applicants and recipients who meet current criteria.
