1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Kaech Scholarship is open to graduates, including GED recipients, home-schooled graduates, and current undergraduates, of public high schools in Portland. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, with preference given to those who do, and are encouraged to have participated in band or informal music activities. Eligible students must attend all music courses face-to-face and enroll at a Title IV eligible public or private nonprofit two- or four-year college in the United States, excluding the University of Oregon. FAFSA filing is recommended, though financial need is not a strict requirement. The scholarship is awarded through an annual competitive process and may be received for up to four years. Non-Oregon residents who do not list an Oregon institution on their FAFSA may optionally upload pages 1 and 2 of their FAFSA Submission Summary for financial need consideration. February 15 is the early bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all applications and materials to be submitted to OSAC. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
