1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Collum - Mallonee LGBT Scholarship will be awarded annually to a collegiate member who was initiated at any chapter; in good standing; and meet other criteria including fraternity, university, or community involvement, financial need, GPA, and recommendations as defined by the Leadership Foundation Trustees. Applicants must be registered to attend school as an undergraduate or graduate student in the fall following award. They must indicate that they are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) in order to be eligible. Applicants must submit a description of their community and campus involvement; description of financial need; and description of fraternal involvement. Applicants must also submit letters of recommendation from an individual qualified to comment on the applicant's professional, fraternal involvement, and/or civic involvement. A transcript is not required at the time of application, however, applicants may be contacted by the Leadership Foundation to provide the committee with a current transcript during the review process. Students selected as a recipient will need to provide official transcripts from all post-high school institutions they attended, prior to distribution of scholarship money.
