1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Buerkle Scholarship will be awarded to graduates, including GED recipients and home-schooled graduates, of Linn, Douglas and Umatilla county high schools. Preference will be given to older, nontraditional students or students who are returning to college after a long absence. Preference will also be given to students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher. Eligible majors are English, journalism, math, music, or physical education. Preference will also be given to students at Oregon colleges. Students may apply-compete annually. Prior recipients may reapply regardless of high school counties listed. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Oregon Office of Student Access and Completion for more information.
