1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The ASHRAE Minnesota Chapter Peter Potvin Scholarship is available to a qualified mechanical or architectural engineering student enrolled at a post-secondary educational institution within the geographic boundaries of the Minnesota Chapter or who has graduated from a high school within the Minnesota Chapter geographic boundaries. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30 percent and meet at least one of the following criteria: (A) the institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch ASHRAE Student Branches; (B) the program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (C) the program is accredited by Engineers Canada or the Canadian Council of Technicians & Technologists (CCTT). Re-applications accepted from former scholarship applicants and recipients who meet current criteria. Three signed letters of recommendation are required: one from an instructor or faculty advisor, a current or past employer, and another character reference (other than a family member). In cases where the institution has an ASHRAE student branch on campus, a letter from the faculty advisor of that branch may be one of the three letters of recommendation.
