The Phyliss J. McCarthy Scholarship for Excellence in Writing is open to current high school rising juniors, juniors, seniors, or rising college freshmen. U.S. and international students may apply. Submissions must be in English but may include short bits of other languages as a part of a story. Poetry is also welcome. Submissions must be under 2000 words and clearly address at least one of the given prompts for 2024. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
