1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Immigration status should not determine opportunity; tenacity and hard work should. Golden Door Scholars provides DACAmented and undocumented students with the financial aid and support needed to invest in their education and define their futures. To receive the Golden Door Scholarship, all applicants must be graduating or have graduated from a U.S. high school. Applicants must have one of the following documentation or immigration statuses: (1) Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); (2) Temporary Protected Status (TPS); (3) U-1 visa; (4) Pending Asylum case open with USCIS; (5) Pending Refugee; (6) Undocumented, foreign-born people who do not possess a valid visa or other recognized immigration documentation in the United States. Applicants must have lived in the United States for at least 4 years prior to applying for the Golden Door Scholarship. Applicants must be willing to relocate to and enroll in a bachelor's degree program and be willing to pursue a major aligned with Golden Door Scholars' preferred majors list. Applicants must also submit a 2-minute video answering the following questions: Where are you from? What are your career aspirations? What are you passionate about?
