The mission of The Rezvan Foundation is to support the academic pursuits of exceptionally talented young students who have spent time in foster care. The Foundation provides ongoing mentorship and scholarship funding for full tuition over the course of four years for each Awardee. Applicants must be a minor now or formerly in foster care; a minor who has been orphaned; or a minor who has been adopted after time spent in foster care. Applicants must also have no disciplinary record (academic or criminal). Students with a lower GPA than 3.5 may be considered if the student can demonstrate significant academic growth. If they have a cumulative GPA lower than 3.5, they must submit a written statement along with their application explaining the circumstances surrounding their lower GPA and how they managed to overcome those obstacles to succeed academically. Three references are required. Students must answer two of the essay questions. Applicants must also submit a short video statement, which is one to three minutes long, explaining what being a Rezvan Foundation scholarship recipient would mean to them. It may also include any other information they believe would help The Rezvan Foundation evaluate their candidacy. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Foundation for more information.
