1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Helen Laughlin AM Mode Memorial Scholarship will be given to those with General Class License or higher. Applicants must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year. Preference is given to residents of Texas. If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of Arkansas. If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of the ARRL West Gulf (Texas, Oklahoma) or Delta (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee) Divisions. Any field of study is eligible. Preference is also given to women Amateur Radio operators who are performing at a high academic level. Preference is given to applicants who have made a contact in the AM mode, but is not required. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the ARRL Foundation Inc. for more information.
