The Helen Laughlin AM Mode Memorial Scholarship will be given to those with General Class License or higher. Applicants must be holding an amateur radio license for at least 1 year. Preference is given to residents of Texas. If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of Arkansas. If no qualified applicant is identified, preference will be given to residents of the ARRL West Gulf (Texas, Oklahoma) or Delta (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee) Divisions. Any field of study is eligible. Preference is also given to women Amateur Radio operators who are performing at a high academic level.
