The John D'Emilio LGBTQ History Dissertation Award is given annually by the Organization of American Historians to the best PhD dissertation in U.S. LGBTQ history. Dissertations submitted for consideration must be completed during the period July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 to be eligible for the 2025 D'Emilio Award. The complete dissertation, abstract, and table of contents must be submitted in one email to all of the D'Emilio committee members.
