The AvaCare Medical Scholarship will be awarded to students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field. This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness. The submission may be in the form of writing, video, or photo. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or in possession of an Alien Registration Card. Applicants must be high school seniors or enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university. They must be pursuing a degree in the medical field such as therapy, nursing, medicine, nutrition, laboratory science, dentistry, health law, etc. Although all students who meet the criteria are welcome to apply for this scholarship, preference will be given to students with a physical disability.
