5 Strong gives scholars the support they need to succeed at HBCUs. Students must only apply if they are from Metro Atlanta or Metro Houston, all surrounding counties are eligible. If the students don't have a current qualifying test score, students must take the test first before they apply. Otherwise, their application will be deleted. Applicants must be a current-year graduating high school senior. They must demonstrate the potential to be a leader in the classroom and on campus. Students must commit to 5 Strong and the selected HBCU that they will be attending. Texas Southern and Huston-Tillotson Universities are only a choice for Houston, Texas applicants.
