1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The AWG Undergraduate Excellence in Paleontology Award will be presented to an outstanding female undergraduate student pursuing a career in paleontology (and affiliated sciences) at a degree-granting institution. Successful applicants will exhibit exceptional motivation, professional potential, outreach, and long-term commitment to goals. No prior AWG or PS membership is required. National or international students are allowed to apply, with the exception of sanctioned countries. One letter of recommendation from faculty or other scientific mentors must be submitted. All letters of recommendation should address the following criteria: (A) The types and amount of experience the recommender has had with the applicant. (B) Her current and future contributions to paleontology and the broader community. (C) The applicant's potential for future success in a paleontological field. (D) The applicant strengths/weaknesses in leadership, intellectual merit, academic achievement, character, community involvement, etc. (E) Any circumstances that may influence the applicant's academic record that may not reflect the student's full potential.
