1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Congressman Peter DeFazio Scholarship will be awarded to dislocated workers residing in Oregon's Fourth Congressional District, which includes parts of Benton, Coos, Curry, Douglas, Josephine, Lane, and Linn counties. Applicants must submit one of the following: copy of layoff notice, no-fault termination notice, or termination letter from former employer on company letterhead; unemployment insurance verification; copy of documentation (letter) verifying that the applicant is receiving workforce investment services as a dislocated worker; and documentation of self-employment that resulted in business closure as a result of economic conditions in the community in which the applicant resides or because of natural disaster. February 15 is the Early Bird deadline and March 1 is the final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
