The Akron Bar Foundation provides scholarships to law students based on grade point average; affiliation with Summit County, Ohio; history of community involvement; and financial need. Applicants must be in good academic standing with their school. They must have an affiliation with Summit County; either they live or have lived in, attend(ed) school in, parents or grandparents are from Summit County, etc. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from people who are familiar with their character.
