1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund scholarship program was established to support California high school students of Filipino heritage who demonstrate excellence in math and science to pursue rewarding engineering and science careers where Filipino Americans are underrepresented. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years. Applicants must be at least 50 percent Filipino. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, at least one of which is from a current teacher. Fifteen to twenty finalists will be chosen. Finalists must be available for a 30-minute interview on Zoom between late March to mid-April 2024. If chosen for an interview, finalists must submit official transcripts, SAT/ACT score reports, and FAFSA submission summary.
