1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Scott A. Gunder, MD, DCMS Presidential Scholarship is awarded to a second-year medical student at Penn State College of Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The scholarship was established by the Dauphin County Medical Society in honor of Dr. Gunder. It will serve as recognition of all Dauphin County Medical Society presidents who dedicate their time to the betterment of the society, as Dr. Gunder had done. Applicants must be a bona fide resident of Pennsylvania for at least 12 months before registering as a medical student, not including time spent attending an undergraduate or graduate school in Pennsylvania. They must be a second-year medical student. Applicants must also be a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and county medical society. Applicants must submit two reference letters, from persons other than family members, documenting the applicant's integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician.
