1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The InterExchange Foundation supports young Americans with a passion for improving the world by participating in meaningful projects abroad. The fellowship will be awarded to young Americans looking to apply their skills and passions toward helping communities abroad thrive, while they increase their awareness and appreciation of local culture. Fellows must have identified a project or an organization focused on an issue they care about and must be committed to spending a minimum of six months abroad. The fellow must be motivated and passionate about doing good and establish clear, measurable goals for their time abroad that align with their future plans. They must bring specifically-needed skills to the host community and are excited to serve as an ambassador for InterExchange and the U.S. while learning about the host culture. The project must be supported by and clearly benefits the host community. The service project must not be a requirement for university credit. The benefits of the project must continue after the fellow's departure. The project location must be safe and the project duration must be feasible. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. One letter may be from an academic instructor and the second must be from a supervisor, employer, coach or someone who knows the applicant from a non-academic setting.
