The Myrtle Siegfried, MD, and Michael Vigilante, MD, Scholarship is awarded to a first-year medical student who is a resident of eligible counties in Pennsylvania. Applicants must be a resident of those counties for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student. Applicants must be entering their first year of medical school and be enrolled in a fully accredited United States medical school. Applicants must submit two reference letters from persons other than family members, documenting their integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician. A letter from the applicant's medical school verifying that they are enrolled full-time as a medical student at their institution is also required.
