1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Robert Lewis Baker Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to college or university students whose major course of study is intended to lead to a career related to studies that promote the mission of the organization. One-year scholarships are available to college or university juniors, seniors and graduate students pursuing a Master's degree. Sophomores may apply for their junior year. Undergraduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 graded hours of classes and graduate students must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 graded hours of classes. The college or university must be accredited and listed on the official website of the U.S. Department of Education. The scholarship is restricted to studies that lead to a degree in Ornamental Horticulture or Landscape Architecture. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted. Applications must be submitted to the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland through email, followed by a hard copy packet mailed to Dottie DeMarr, the scholarship chairman.
