1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The William and Lucille Ash Scholarship will be awarded to adult re-entry students (age 25 or older) or former foster youth. They must plan to enroll at an accredited institution in the United States in the Fall. Preference may be given to students attending a school in California. Applicants must be currently employed (minimum part-time). Applicants must also have a commitment to the community as demonstrated by their involvement in extracurricular activities, community or church service, or work experience. Students must have resided in San Diego County for at least one year. Applicants must submit a letter from their current employer verifying employment, including position held and length of employment. If the applicant is a current or former foster youth, they must submit documents from a social worker indicating that they are currently or have been previously in foster care.
