1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Belcourt Brosseau Metis Awards will support Metis Albertans with scholarships for post-secondary education. Applicants must show that they are a citizen of the Otipemisiwak Metis Government (previously Metis Nation of Alberta) or a member of the Metis Settlement of Alberta, or that they have applied to them. Priority will be given to students with involvement with their Metis community and/or volunteering with Metis organizations; students with financial need; students involved in volunteering or leadership, or who have overcome personal challenges; have employment outcomes from their program of study; students enrolled in full-time studies; and students in their first year of post-secondary studies or beginning a transition program. Students may study in Alberta or anywhere in Canada. In order to get a BBMA for a school outside Alberta, applicants must clearly address why they have selected a school outside of Alberta. One recent reference form is required. Additional forms can be submitted, but are optional. Please visit the award's website for more information.
