1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The AICPA Foundation Fellowship for Accounting Doctoral Students seeks to support CPAs with recent accounting experience who want to serve as role models and mentors to young people in the academic environment. Multiple fellowships will be awarded to CPAs starting or already pursuing a full-time accounting Ph.D. or DBA degree at an AACSB-accredited accounting/business school who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators. The fellowship may be renewable for up to three consecutive years from the initial award. Current fellows must provide proof of enrollment and program progress for award renewal. Priority will be given to applicants of diverse ethnic backgrounds and underrepresented ethnic minorities in the accounting profession. Applicants must have CPA licensure; have either applied to a full-time AACSB accounting Ph.D. or DBA program (with an accounting concentration) in the United States and awaiting word on acceptance (award contingent upon program acceptance). Preference will be given to those who have already received acceptance into a full-time AACSB accounting Ph.D. or DBA program. Applicants must have intent to teach and research at a U.S. accredited university upon graduation, as indicated through a written essay. Two letters of recommendation are required. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the AICPA Institute for more information.
