1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Gertrude B. Elion Mentored Medical Student Research Award will provide annual awards to medical students who are interested in pursuing health-related research projects. Students must have an interest in health research, and must have the support of a faculty mentor. This award is restricted to medical students who have completed at least one year of study at Duke University Medical Center or the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. The sponsor's statement of nomination must also be submitted. It must present the institution's reasons for nominating the student. The candidate's curriculum vitae and their mentor's curriculum vitae are required. Applicants must also provide a letter of recommendation from someone other than the mentor, who is familiar with the student's qualifications.
