The Health Law Section of the Virginia State Bar was organized in 1984 and its membership consists of those in legal practice devoted to dealing with the administration of health care. The Health Law Section is sponsoring a Student Writing Competition in order to promote academic debate and the dissemination of ideas and scholarly writing in the field of health law. Preference may be given to topics demonstrating particular relevance to contemporary events, addressing unsettled issues of law, or presenting novel and unique perspectives. The competition is open to all students enrolled and in good standing during the 2023-2024 academic year at (I) any Virginia law school, or (II) a law school outside Virginia as a resident of Virginia (with proof of residency).
