1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Fellowships are awarded to musicians based in the United States (although not necessarily U.S. citizens) for whom this would be the first extended period of study abroad. Musicians who have previously studied abroad for an extended period do not qualify for a fellowship. Applicants must not have reached the age of 30 by July 1, 2024. Applicants must demonstrate a solid base of accomplishment in order to be considered. A strong, well-planned project of study that will enhance the applicant's life in music must be proposed. Enrollment in a school or university is not required unless such study is an essential part of the project. At least two letters of recommendation must be submitted. Semi-finalists will be notified of their status. The candidate who advances will need to submit a video audition for review. Candidates must be the principal performer in these recordings, which should total 20-30 minutes in length and contain selections of the candidates choice. Please do not send recordings unless you are notified of the results of the first round. Finalists will be notified of their status. Final round candidates will be invited to audition for the trustees in person in Boston, Massachusetts in the month of April. Notification of grant awards will be sent by May 1st, 2024.
