1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Colgate-Palmolive Postdoctoral Fellowship Award in In Vitro Toxicology seeks to advance the development of alternatives to animal testing in toxicological research. Postdoctoral trainees in their first year of study beyond the PhD, MD, or DVM degree who are at academic institutions, federal/national laboratories, or research institutes worldwide may apply. Their doctoral degree must have been conferred before this fellowship is awarded. Preference will be given to applicants in their first year of postdoctoral study. Applicants or postdoctoral advisors must be a member or pending member of the Society. If the recipient is not a member, they will be required to submit a membership application before the fellowship is conferred. Applicants must submit a detailed project description that includes: description of research to be performed, including specific aims of the research and a description of their relevance to the development of methods involving the reduction, replacement, or refinement of the use of animals; preliminary data in support of the application may be included as an appendix; and brief section addressing the career goals of the applicant. Reprints of up to three representative publications of the applicant must also be submitted. Three letters of reference are required: a letter of reference from the doctoral advisor noting the anticipated date of dissertation defense or certifying completion of the degree; a letter of reference from the proposed postdoctoral advisor; and a third letter of reference.
