1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Maine Dental Education Loan Program is a competitive, forgivable loan program for those who are pursuing dental education leading to a D.D.S. or D.M.C, or other dental professional auxiliary degree and a career as a dentist or other dental auxiliary profession and demonstrate an interest in practicing in underserved areas in Maine. Applicants must be admitted to a program of dentistry at an institution of medical education that has been accredited by the appropriate accreditation agency or enrolled in any accredited school in a program of study for dental hygienists, dental therapists, expanded function dental assistants or dental assistants. Applicants must also be a Maine resident for two years prior to the time they enter the program. Priority is given to eligible applicants with the greatest financial need and a demonstrated intent to practice primary dental care in an underserved area in Maine. Finalists may be required to participate in an interview. Applicants must provide their Maine residency documentation or information. They may be copies of their 2022 and 2023 state tax return (do not include schedules); a copy of their current driver's license or state issued non-driver ID; and a copy of their vehicle registration (indicate if you do not have one).
