1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
This program is designed to find the very best collegiate spokespersons and enable them to take their beef advocacy efforts to a national level. From the applicant pool, up to three students will be selected to serve on the Collegiate Beef Advocacy Program team, traveling the nation for one year to share the positive message about beef. Virtual interviews will be conducted with top applicants to evaluate oral communication skills and assess applicant's abilities to communicate beef industry knowledge. For the on-campus advocacy, applicants must create and execute two beef promotion events on their college campus. Please present a detailed plan for a beef promotion activity that they could realistically host on their college campus. For the social media advocacy, applicants must explain ideas for utilizing social media to engage with college students interested in beef. This explanation could include content ideas, type of posts, and platforms utilized. Applicants must also submit a video in which they advocate for the beef industry. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation. They are strongly encouraged to submit one letter from a board member of a local, county, state or national Cattlemen's or Cattlewomen's Association (or Stockgrowers/CowBelles), state Beef Council or Cattlemen's Beef Board.
