1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Chappie Hall Scholarship will be awarded to a student who has maintained a 3.0 GPA or better during the past school year. The applicant's parents, grandparents, great grandparents, husband or wife must be (or if deceased, was) a regular or life member (not an associate member) of the 101st Airborne Division Association. The major factors to be considered in the evaluation and rating of applicants are eligibility, career objectives, academic record, and insight gained from the letter requesting consideration and letters of recommendation. Applicants shall not be attending nor accepted as a student to the United States Military Academy, the Naval Academy or the Air Force Academy. Applicants may apply and receive an award each year for a maximum of four years for an undergraduate degree and two years for a graduate degree. High school students must submit four years of transcripts and university students must submit all of their college transcripts. Two letters of recommendation written within the past 6 months, from other than a relative, are also required. One must be from a teacher. Applicants must also write a letter and briefly discuss select subjects in addition to others they consider relevant.
