1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Fred Scheigert Scholarship Program is available to college students with low vision. Scholarships are offered to students with low vision from 20/70 in the better eye with best possible correction, or a field no greater than 30 degrees and to those who are legally blind and have some usable vision. Applicants must submit two professional or academic letters of recommendation, and no more, to be completed by a current or past professor, adviser, or internship coordinator. A letter of acceptance from the applicant's school is also required. Finalists will be selected to participate in a telephone interview with committee members. Recipients will be notified in late spring. An ophthalmologist or optometrist must complete and submit the online CCLVI Eye Report Form indicating that the chosen scholarship recipients meet low vision criteria.
