1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The TAPPI Engineering Division Scholarship aims to promote interest in the pulp and paper industry among engineering and science students, and to increase the potential in following an engineering career among students with an interest in the pulp and paper industry. Up to two scholarships will be awarded; one $2500 scholarship may be awarded to a student who will be in his or her junior year and one $3000 scholarship may be awarded to a student who will be in his or her senior year at the beginning of the next academic year. Only one scholarship may be awarded in any year if only one candidate qualifies according to the Scholarship Committee; the Committee may also recommend that no award be given if there are no qualified applicants. The recipient of the junior year scholarship is eligible to apply for the senior year scholarship the following year, on an equal basis with all other candidates. Applicants must be an undergraduate member of a TAPPI Student Chapter, or a student member of International TAPPI, or submit comparable evidence of professional development and participation relative to the paper industry.
