1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists will be awarding undergraduate college and community students scholarships who will meet the eligibility requirements. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate college students pursuing a career in journalism or multimedia arts. Those eligible must be enrolled in a four-year accredited college in the Philadelphia region (Philly, South Jersey, Delaware). Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in journalism or communications (i.e. television, radio, print, new media) or in another major working toward a journalism career. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a community college student enrolled in a two-year accredited community college. The student must be pursuing an associate degree in journalism or multimedia arts. All applicants must submit a minimum of two examples of their work. Applicants must also submit a letter of recommendation from a journalism or media professor.
