1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Established in 1947, the Voice of Democracy audio-essay program provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay. Each year, 9th through 12th grade students from across the country enter to win educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the program. The program is open to students who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States, its territories and possessions; or dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools. Students must record their original 3-5 minute audio essay on a flash drive, or other electronic device. They will submit the recording, typed essay, and the completed entry form. Students must provide these items to their school or group competition or VFW Post for judging. Hearing or speech impaired students should email the Voice of Democracy National Office for special instructions. Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
