1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multi-faceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of students who aspire to attend college but to guide them through the process of higher education. To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must be a graduating, minority high school senior with present evidence of financial need and demonstrate a record of academic excellence. Applicants may optionally submit an official SAT and/or ACT test exam score from junior or senior year. Applicants must plan to attend a college or university within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university. They must have not accrued more than 25 percent of credits needed to graduate from college. One recommendation and four essays are required for application. Applicants must select a recommender who will devote the time to provide a positive, compelling, and accurate description of them. The person should have known them for a significant period of time, but should not be a family member or someone who knows the applicant only in a friendship capacity. Possible recommenders to consider are: a teacher, guidance counselor, athletic coach, employer, or mentor with whom you have interacted in an extracurricular activity.
