1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Millie Brother Scholarship is an annual scholarship awarded to hearing children of deaf adults to help them pursue their post-secondary education. The scholarship can be used for undergraduate study at any accredited institution of higher education in the world. Applicants must be the hearing child of Deaf parents; students from any country in the world are eligible to apply. Applicants may submit their essay in their native language, if preferred, but they must also submit a second copy written in English. Two letters of recommendation from teachers must be submitted. If the applicant graduated from high school within the last five years, then a high school transcript as well as a college transcript, if applicable, is required. If the applicant graduated from high school more than five years ago, and they have completed at least one year of college coursework, then only their college transcript is required. If the applicant graduated from high school more than five years ago, and they have less than one year of college coursework, then they must also submit their high school transcript.
