1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Lambda Alpha National Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior in the current academic year. The scholarship nominees must plan on attending graduate school in anthropology. The applicant's chapter may send forward only one candidate for this award. A well-qualified candidate has a reasonable chance to win. To ensure a quality set of candidates, potential applicants will be allowed to join the honor society and apply for the awards. A letter of nomination from the chapter faculty sponsor stating the candidate is applying for the National Scholarship must be submitted. Two supporting letters of recommendation are also required, one must be from a professional anthropologist. Applicants must submit a manuscript ready for consideration for publication in the Lambda Alpha Journal. The purpose of submitting a paper is to evaluate formal writing skill, and an ability to compose a research paper. Original thesis manuscripts, previously published papers, co-authored publications, and contract archaeological reports are not acceptable.
