1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship supports CTA Aspiring Educators throughout the academic year with funds to be used for education-related purposes. A maximum of three scholarships are awarded. One scholarship is designated as the Pacific Asian American Scholarship in Honor of Philip Vera Cruz and is awarded to the highest-scoring applicant. Applicants must be an active member of CTA Aspiring Educators and pursuing a career in public education. Applicants may be in an undergraduate, teacher credential or graduate program. College coursework should reflect high academic achievement. Applicants must explain any unique circumstances related to medical, physical or emotional difficulties that may have affected their grades. Applicants must also submit two recommendation forms that must separately address both statements below: Involvement in human, social and/or civic issues that reflect responsibility, reliability and integrity; and Educational and personal achievements that reflect academic and/or vocational potential.
