1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Peter Connacher Memorial Scholarship will give preference to Oregon residents and their dependents. Applicants must be American ex-prisoners of war and their families and descendants, including step-children and grandchildren. The term prisoners of war" includes those who were held prisoner in conflicts with other countries even if war was not formally declared by the United States. Financial need is not a requirement but it will be considered, but filing of the FAFSA is recommended. This scholarship is automatically renewable if renewal criteria are met. Applicants must submit a copy of POW's military discharge papers, proof of POW status, and they must state their relationship to the POW on those supporting documents. February 18 is the Early Bird deadline and March 3 is the final deadline for all materials to be submitted to OSAC.
